Cambridge, MD, July 1st, 2003 - Airpax Corporation, an international leader in the design and manufacture of magnetic circuit breakers, has deployed the "Airpax Assembler." This online product configurator based on TechniCon's CustomCommerce platform allows customers to quickly find and specify circuit breaker products to match their unique requirements.

The new Airpax product configurator is part of a full-featured guided sales system that provides the tools customers need to select and specify complex products. Customers familiar with the Airpax product line can use the system as a typical product catalog, selecting product families and then specifying the options they require.

More importantly, the system introduces a number of powerful product search tools. The new parametric search capability allows users to search for products that meet specific operating or feature criteria such as maximum interrupting capacity or approval rating. Users can also search by product number, name and other attributes.

After selecting general products of interest, users can do detailed configurations, specifying all product options. As products are configured, the system creates custom documentation including drawings, engineering notes and operating curves. Users can then check pricing and availability.
