TechniCon products interface with specification systems for contract furniture, allowing vendors to offer new services for their customers and extend their e-commerce initiatives.
Using TechniCon's Legacy-to-Web Tools, SIF data can be quickly repurposed for e-commerce use. Catalog SIF files can be used to create master product line e-catalogs. Order SIF files can be transformed into custom online catalogs.
![]() When a contract furniture vendor does a project for a client, the order file from the specification system can be used to generate a customized e-commerce Web site for the client to purchase additional items.
As the online catalog includes only those items included in the original project, the client is guaranteed that future purchases from the site will match the existing furniture. The client no longer has to worry about what finish or color was used before.
Catalogs can be easily modified using TechniCon's ContentStudio catalog manager. Employing an Explorer-type interface, items can be simply "dragged and dropped" from a master catalog to the custom catalog to add new products.
TechniCon works with leading suppliers of specification systems, including Data One.
