PLANOGRAM GENERATION

A planogram is a diagram that shows how and where specific products should be placed on retail shelves or displays. Planograms help retailers and distributors layout shelf space to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
Designed for Manufacturers
Using our visual configuration capabilities, TechniCon implemented a system for a display fixture manufacturer that guides users through an easy, step-by-step process to generate accurate, photorealistic planograms.
Store planners begin by selecting the size of the display unit to merchandise and then specify shelving options. The system ensures that the selected shelving is compatible and fits in the display unit.
With a single click, shelving layouts can be copied across multiple display units. A running total of available unit space is displayed. Once shelves are laid out, planners can begin product placement.
Product choices can be limited by location and application. For example, two liter bottles can only be placed on shelving with at least 14" of vertical space.
Interactive controls make it easy to setup and modify product placement. Product layouts can be quickly copied to multiple shelves.
During the layout process, product quantities are displayed side-by-side in a comparison table. Once all products are laid out, planners can display the final planogram image and product analytics.
A PDF file of the planogram can be generated for distribution and publication. Print copies of the planogram can be used as guides for stocking units out in the field.
A Total Approach to Product Data Management
Fully integrated with our product catalog and configuration systems, the planogram system is just one example of how TechniCon can leverage your product data to support a variety of applications.
Your product data is a powerful corporate asset. TechniCon's systems allow you to use your product information to increase sales and reduce costs.
