CustomCommerce can be securely deployed in a number of network scenarios. Typically, the CustomCommerce Web server is separated from the database via a firewall. Alternatively, the Web server can also be hidden behind a firewall.

CustomCommerce can be deployed within a "DMZ" to separate external networks from directly referencing internal networks.

External network access to ContentStudio is normally not required, and the application is typically deployed on a staging server behind a firewall.
